A few weeks ago @jad.otf shared with me his newest typeface, Balete, and asked me to try and play with it, maybe make a poster or a simple graphic.
But I've been itching to work with paper and my hands again, so I made the Manananggal Files, a print project of fictional papers and ephemera that document manananggal sightings ala-Trese, with Jad and I as folkloric and mythological detectives 😝🌳🧟♀️ Printed, cut, assembled, and scanned at home. Used Balete in everything except my handwriting! So, so fun.
